At Noor Corporation, rock salt has been a cornerstone of our product offerings for many years. With its diverse range of applications, the industrial salt market has grown increasingly competitive, motivating us to continually explore and provide the most efficient and cost-effective industrial salt solutions. Our focus is on delivering high-quality salt tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients across various industries.

What is Industrial Salt?

At Noor Corporation, industrial salt is a key product used across a wide range of applications. We offer various types of salt, including rock salt and refined salts, processed to meet the specific purity standards required for industrial use. Our industrial salt serves industries such as chemical manufacturing, oil drilling, pharmaceuticals, and road deicing, where it plays an essential role in processes that demand large quantities of this versatile mineral. We are committed to providing high-quality salt solutions that meet the unique needs of each industry we serve.

Industrial Salt Uses?

At Noor Corporation, our industrial salt plays a vital role in various industries. In the oil industry, our salt is used to increase the density of mud and soil, improving the safety and efficiency of drilling rigs, particularly for land-based drilling operations. While offshore drilling may not rely as heavily on salt, large quantities are essential for land drilling processes.

Pharmaceutical companies also rely on our salt for producing capsules and saline solutions. These solutions have broad secondary industrial applications, such as in contact solutions and intravenous formulas. The medical and pharmaceutical sectors account for a significant portion of national industrial salt usage, underscoring the importance of our high-quality salt products.

Furthermore, Noor Corporation’s industrial salt is widely used in road deicing to improve safety and create safer driving conditions. A large percentage of globally mined salt is used to lower the freezing point of snow and ice, helping to keep public and government roads clear during winter weather. Our salt is often spread on roads before inclement weather, forming a protective brine layer that enhances safety and efficiency.

Industrial Salt Market

At Noor Corporation, industrial salt is essential for a variety of applications, particularly in the chemical industry. Our salt is used as a filler in detergents and solvents, helping these chemicals dissolve more rapidly in water. It also plays a key role in soap production, where it helps separate components needed for manufacturing.

Additionally, our industrial salt is crucial in solar ponds and other energy-producing facilities, where it is used to maintain the necessary salinity levels, further expanding its role as an energy producer. With the growing demand for renewable energy, industrial salt, particularly rock salt, has seen an increase in use, especially with the expansion of solar energy production.

While industrial salt is not a rare resource, its widespread use across industries means demand continues to rise. This has led to fluctuations in salt prices, as consumers seek salt from various global sources to maintain a consistent supply. Noor Corporation ensures that our clients have reliable access to high-quality salt from trusted sources worldwide, meeting the needs of various industries with efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Industrial Salt Applications

At Noor Corporation, industrial salt is utilized across a wide range of industries due to its versatile applications. Our high-quality salt is essential in various processes, including water and wastewater treatment, skin tanning, acidifying, and the production of sanitary products and detergents. Additionally, industrial salt plays a crucial role in many other sectors.

Our industrial salt is used in animal feed production, water softening or hardening processes, and refining applications. We also supply salt for use in resin applications and provide rock salt for boilers, supporting industries that require efficient, reliable solutions. Noor Corporation is committed to meeting the diverse needs of our clients with top-tier industrial salt products tailored to a wide array of industrial uses.

Industrial salt types

At Noor Corporation, we offer a wide range of industrial salts, each produced and used in various types and grades to meet specific industry needs. Some of the key types of industrial and mineral salts we provide include Sugar Salt, Fishery Salt, Pea Salt, Powder Salt, Road Salt Grade, and Drilling Salt Grade. Below are the details of some of the most commonly used industrial salts:

  • Shelf Salts or Industrial Salt 120 and 130: This type of salt is the finest grade before powdered salt or industrial soft salt. The crystals are highly salty, clear, and pure, making them known for their strong salinity and clarity. These salts are similar in size and texture to other salts in this grade.

  • Sugar Salt or Industrial Salt 110: This salt is called “Sugar Salt” because its size closely resembles that of sugar beet. It is one of the most widely used salt formulas in the industry. Common applications include drilling mud, the salt process, meat preservation (especially for pork in Georgia), and cheese production, among others.

  • Industrial Salt 100: The crystals of this salt are slightly larger than Sugar Salt, approximately twice the size of sugar granules. It is commonly used in various industrial applications where a slightly larger grain is required.

  • Industrial Salt 90: This grade of salt contains crystals that are a bit larger than chickpea seeds. Due to the uniformity of the grain size, this salt is referred to as Mesh 90. It is ideal for applications requiring consistent grain size for various processes.

  • Fishery Salt: After breaking rock salt into large pieces, Fishery Salt is produced by crushing these pieces into sizes ranging from 5 to 10 mm. These grains are larger than peas and slightly larger than walnuts. Fishery Salt is primarily used in the fishing industry for preservation and disinfection. Other applications include water hardening, resin rejuvenation, fine chemical coatings, leather tanning, and cheese production, among many others.

  • Industrial Powder Salt (Soft Industrial Salt): This is the finest grade of unprocessed industrial salt. Often referred to as industrial soft salt due to its fine texture, it is primarily used in the production of acids and in poultry processing.

Noor Corporation ensures the highest quality in each of these salt types, tailored to meet the diverse needs of industries such as food production, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and more.

Tablet salt

At Noor Corporation, we offer high-quality tablet salts commonly used for softening hard water. Hard water typically contains high levels of calcium and magnesium, which can cause deposits on the surfaces of pipes, water heaters, dishwashers, and industrial machinery. Over time, these deposits reduce water flow and pressure. Our tablet salts are highly effective in removing the hardness from water, improving its quality and preventing the buildup of mineral deposits. They are also widely used in water softener plants to enhance performance and ensure the efficient operation of water systems.

Granular salt

At Noor Corporation, we offer high-quality granular salts, which are rounded in shape and produced from individual salt crystals. Similar to tablet salts, granular salts are used in both domestic and commercial water systems. While tablet salts are ideal for water softeners, our granular salts are specifically designed for use in swimming pools and large water tanks to effectively soften the water. Granular salts are particularly suited for large-scale commercial and domestic applications, providing efficient water treatment solutions for various needs.

PDV salt

At Noor Corporation, we provide a range of industrial salts, including PDV salt, which serves as an alternative to ground rock salt. PDV salts are finely granular, white in color, and refined to remove any traces of minor impurities. This type of industrial salt is commonly used in fabric dyeing services and is also essential in food production, chemical processes, industrial applications, ponds, and water treatment. In addition, rock salt, also known as halite, is widely used for de-icing driveways, walkways, snow and ice removal, and even weed control. It is derived from a mineral and remains a highly effective solution for various industrial and commercial applications. At Noor Corporation, we supply all types of industrial salts to businesses across various industries, including cold stores, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and more.
